Project #1 Intro/synthesis. TOPIC: Having a Paper Flow
This is something that I have always had trouble with in writing papers. So I thought that doing research on it and actually seeing if a paper that flows makes more sense than one that doesn't. Also, if it makes the paper more interesting or not and makes the reader want to keep reading. I could give examples of papers or tell a story and write them differently. (Different styles one with flow and one without?? Just a thought). Here are some questions to ask or go over in the paper: Why do we read left to right and top to bottom? Does that help with the flow of a paper? Why do other cultures have different writing constructs and what are they? In a five paragraph essay, why does it have to be five paragraphs? Why do we start with stating our point in the thesis and end with the same point in our conclusion? Does supporting facts help with flow? I can compare and contrast these and see what I can come up with. I can also put in some do's and don'ts and breakdown what needs to be said in an order in a paragraph to make it the best that it can be. I just hope that I can become a better writer because I belief that writing is important and that is the ultimate goal.

(Sorry this is soooo late) You have a lot of questions here. Good job questioning the construct so literally. You may also want to take into consideration how headings and other visual rhetorics affect flow. You might find that you want to limit your construction to a specific discipline.
