Before you Read.
I think that with my Facebook, there is nothing really for me to hide and whatnot. I do not post anything bad or anything that is harmful towards anyone and I just be careful of what I do. It is almost as if my Facebook life is the exact same thing as my real life. There is nothing to hide and I am always just being myself. The way people see me in person is the same they can see me on Facebook.
Summary.
In Elbow's article, "Voice in Writing Again, Embracing Contraries" came across to me as searching for having a voice in writing. He explains that there are things to do and not to do. Basically saying that there are things to do to make your writing better and things to stay away from. Although at the same time, he uses both sides to explain that there can be different approaches of how to write. With having a voice in something, it is getting your point across.
Synthesis.
To me I feel like this article can connect with Allen's. I say this because of the "inspired writer" and having a voice in writing is kind of along the same guidelines. I feel that either of these can pass as something to help get an idea across to the reader.

1. Voice is like having a say or getting a point across. (Possibly to argue a point across too). Yes, I think that there are many different kinds of voice. I think bottom line that Elbow is trying to say that having a voice in writing is putting your own twist on whatever it is you are writing and to be creative.
4. Yes, I think that he is playing his "doubting and believing game". He gives you sides and ideas from both sides and wants the reader to make his/her own decision to what they think is best. There is no right or wrong answer, it is just simply up to the reader.
AE.
2. I think that it depends on what it is exactly you are listening to and how it sounds. Yes, it also depends on the reader/listener to which he or she can connect with more and get more out of something. Personally, I think that reading along with something while it is being read out loud to where I can hear it, it helps the most out of all.
MM.
I think Elbow is trying to get the point across that backing up and believing that what you said and tried to prove or get across was and is the best. With stating previous points and backing those up it will help people have more of an open mind. Also, no it isn't possible. It is just something that is key.
Thoughts.
Overall, I gained that having a voice in writing is key. It was long to read and whatnot but it was a good point. He does have good ideas and points though.
