To me, this is just saying that whatever comes to your mind, even if it may be a stupid thought, write it down anyways. You never know what could come out of a simple thought. Even over time, what ever you wrote down will always be there and it will be waiting to be chosen.

"Just get it sown on the paper, because there may be something great in those six crazy pages that would never have gotten to by more rational grown-up means" (302).

This is basically saying that every published book or article started out somewhere; just not where it was at the end. Yes, it may start out as a bad article but it takes time to revise and make what is written even better.
"Almost all good writing begins with terrible first efforts" (303).

All writers may seem weird on the outside, but deep down they have an idea. -To entertain people. They will always have a feeling to share with others.
"They say writing is lonely work. But that's an exaggeration. Even alone at their desks, writers entertain visitors" (308).

This hit me because it was simple and straight to the point. Basically, write with feeling and creativity. Write with meaning.
"Treat writing like a sacred act" (309).

This is just saying that writing is meant to be creative. You can express yourself in what you write. This can also be a stress reliever.
"Writing is finally a series of permissions you will give yourself to be expressive in certain ways" (316).
I found this interesting because he actually uses himself and his past experiences to use in his articles and stories. I think that this is very good information to know and keep.
"Needless to say, I lend bits of myself to all my characters" (317).
This is basically talking about writers block. It CAN and WILL take time to write. Everyone is different and ideas will come eventually. You can't force yourself to write. It has to almost come natural so that the article or book can be good and creative.
"It wasn't that I couldn't write. I wrote every day. I actually worked really hard at writing" (319).
